These terms govern your use of the Tandio app and product website, operated by NORTHFORGE LIMITED, a company registered in Hong Kong ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected]. By downloading, registering for or using Tandio, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 in the EEA and UK. If you are a minor, your parent or guardian must review and agree to these terms and permit your use.
You can start as a guest. Guest access does not guarantee recovery after uninstalling or changing devices; link a supported sign-in method to protect access to your progress and purchases. Keep your credentials secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access. Display names may appear on leaderboards and must not impersonate others or be abusive or unlawful.
2. Learning content
Tandio teaches game theory and economics. Content is for education, not investment, financial, legal or other professional advice. We aim for accuracy but do not promise a particular exam score or learning outcome. AP-style practice is original practice material, not an official examination, and is not affiliated with the College Board.
We may improve or change lessons and features. Material changes affecting paid services remain subject to applicable notice, performance, cancellation and refund obligations.
3. Subscriptions and purchases
- Prices, billing periods, trial conditions and benefits are shown before purchase. Apple or Google processes app-store payments.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled in accordance with the store's displayed terms and deadlines. For Apple subscriptions, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Check the relevant store's rules for your purchase.
- Manage or cancel a subscription through the store where you bought it. Cancellation normally stops future renewal; current-period benefits continue until the paid period ends, subject to applicable store rules and law.
- Deleting Tandio or your account does not cancel your subscription. You can use the purchase screen to restore eligible purchases.
- Request app-store refunds through the relevant store. Store procedures do not exclude any mandatory withdrawal, refund or other consumer rights under applicable law. Any legally required express consent and acknowledgement for immediate digital delivery must be obtained separately; these terms alone do not waive withdrawal rights.
4. Energy, gems and rewards
Wrong answers use energy. Energy does not refill automatically; available recovery options include gems and optional rewarded ads, or a subscription for unlimited energy. Current offers, limits and verified balances are shown in the app. Ad availability and rewards depend on eligibility and verification.
Energy, gems, XP and streaks are virtual features for use only inside Tandio, not cash or transferable property, and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash. We may adjust reward rules prospectively, subject to applicable law and paid entitlements. We may correct rewards or rankings obtained through cheating or exploits. Third-party advertisements do not represent our endorsement.
5. Acceptable use
Do not cheat, automate reward farming, bypass paid restrictions, disrupt systems, access another person's account, impersonate others, or use Tandio unlawfully. Do not bulk scrape, redistribute or resell protected course materials without permission. Reverse engineering restrictions apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not override statutory exceptions.
6. Intellectual property and feedback
The software, courses, questions, artwork, mascot, audio and interface belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for non-commercial learning, subject to these terms and any mandatory legal rights. You retain ownership of your feedback and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it to improve and operate Tandio.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains data processing, retention, controls and account deletion. Accepting these terms is not consent to optional processing that requires separate consent.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account in Profile → Account & subscription → Delete account. Cancel store subscriptions separately. We may restrict or terminate access for a serious breach or a security risk, acting proportionately and providing reasons and advance notice where reasonably possible. Contact us to challenge a decision. Mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable refund rights, remain unaffected.
9. Availability and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tandio is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory guarantees or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence where non-excludable, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to those exceptions and mandatory consumer rights, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses to the extent lawful, and our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for Tandio in the 12 months before the event. If applicable law does not permit an exclusion or limit, that exclusion or limit does not apply. This clause does not restrict legally required remedies for a failure to supply conforming digital content or services.
10. Changes
We may update these terms for legal, security or service changes. We will update the effective date and give reasonable advance notice of material changes where required. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights. Where acceptance or a right to terminate is legally required, we will provide it; continued use is not a substitute for consent required by law.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections under the laws applicable in their country of habitual residence.
Please first contact [email protected] so we can try to resolve a dispute. The courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing requires you to bring proceedings only in Hong Kong or limits your right to bring a claim in another competent court under applicable consumer law. This contact-first request does not limit legal deadlines or access to remedies.
12. General and contact
